Special Visit Programs

There's no substitute for a campus visit. So that you can experience Allegheny first-hand, we have planned several opportunities throughout the year to interact with the Allegheny community. Visit and learn why Allegheny College is one of Loren Pope's Colleges that Change Lives.

Our upcoming 2010 visit opportunities for prospective students include:

Friday Visit Days
August 6, August 13, August 20

Morning session: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Afternoon session: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Optional session, "Discover Gator Athletics & Recreation": 12:15 - 12:45 PM
Explore North Village II Student Apartments: 12:15 - 1:15 PM

Our half-day sessions offer a great introduction to Allegheny, including a candid student panel discussion and campus tour, as well as opportunities to meet Allegheny faculty and administrators. Interested in varsity athletics or recreation, including our expansive Outdoor Adventures? Take advantage of our optional athletics and recreation open house from 12:15 - 12:45 p.m. Visit with available coaches and staff to learn why our Division III athletic program is so successful and why our intramural, club and outdoor activities are so popular. Or check out North Village II, our newest residence hall with suite-style apartments, during an open house with the Residence Life Staff from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m.

Saturday Visit Days
October 2, October 30, November 13

In addition to a campus tour and a candid conversation with current students, our Saturday programs offer the opportunity to speak with professors from each academic department and pre-professional program. Families may also meet with representatives from the Department of Athletics and Recreation, ACCEL (Career Services, Study Abroad and Community Service), Student Activities, Diversity Affairs and our innovative Learning Commons.

Holiday Visit Day
Columbus Day, October 11

Especially For Seniors
Fall Into Allegheny Overnight Program
November 7 & 8

Our fall overnight program allows you to experience a typical day of an Allegheny student. You may spend the night in a residence hall, attend a class and meet with professors, administrators and coaches. The schedule includes activities for both students and parents.
