Applying for Need-Based Aid?

Allegheny requires the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to be considered for financial assistance. To begin, simply apply for a PIN number (both student and parent need to complete this process separately) prior to completing an electronic FAFSA. Visit www.pin.ed.gov for more info.

Plan to submit the FAFSA by February 15 at www.fafsa.ed.gov so that we can notify you of your aid beginning in early March. To ensure you receive information from us, please add Allegheny's Federal Code 003230 to the school section.

Welcome to Allegheny College.

Allegheny is a unique place where students embrace the College's total educational experience.  Our students have the uncanny ability to create unusual combinations of interests and talents.  These "wonderfully weird" combinations enhance our students' success here and ensure excellence in their future careers.

For example, Allegheny students study political science as they prepare for medical school.  They take ballroom dancing, participate in varsity basketball and conduct lab research–all in the same week.

Will Allegheny fit your interests, skills and talents?
