Residence Life Staff
The Residence Life staff at Allegheny College works hard to meet the needs and desires of all students are taken into consideration. These staff have extensive experience working with college students and are dedicated to the holistic development of students. Each staff member has unique responsibilities and personal and professional interests. We encourage you to get to know each of these staff members. Joseph Hall, Area Coordinator
Area: Ravine, Phi Kappa Psi, Delta Tau Delta, Crawford, Edwards Halls, College-owned Houses
- Supervises Resident Advisors and Resident Directors
- Serves as a conduct officer
- Handles roommate conflicts, ensures student behavior is acceptable, and performs follow-ups on maintenance requests
- Coordinates staff selection
- Coordinates special interest house selection
Joseph Miller, Director of Residence Life
- Managing residence facilities
- Supervising Residence Life staff
- Taking care of parent and student concerns and/or issues
- Overseeing community development, or the building of healthy relationships, within Residence Life
- Working with committees, such as the Quality of Life Task Force and Campus Life Committee
- Directing 60 undergraduate students employed by Residence Life
Josh Nolan, Student Conduct Officer
- Handles all non-academic misconduct not relating to the Honor Code
- Supervises hearings
- Trains Residence Life staff, such as Area Coordinators
- Keeps database of statistics concerning student conduct
- On-call for staff, including crisis response situations
- Completes parent follow-ups
- Keeps people informed about issues and situations on campus
Lisa Hardej, Area Coordinator/The Learning Commons
Area: Baldwin, Caflisch, Allegheny Halls, College Court
- Supervises Resident Advisors and Resident Directors
- Serves as a conduct officer
- Handles roommate conflicts, ensures student behavior is acceptable, and performs follow-ups on maintenance requests
- Coordinates student staff training
- Serves as a liaison between The Learning Commons and Residence Life
Danielle Stuart, Area Coordinator, Assistant Athletic Trainer
Area: Allegheny Commons, North Village
- Supervises House Coordinators
- Handles roommate conflicts
- Performs follow-up maintenance issues
Erica Zimmerman, Area Coordinator/Diversity Affairs
Area: Brooks, Walker/Walker Annex, Schultz Halls
- Supervises Resident Advisors and Resident Directors
- Serves as a conduct officer
- Handles roommate conflicts, ensures student behavior is acceptable, and performs follow-ups on maintenance requests
- Coordinates Staff Training
