Religious Life Council (RLC) brings together students who are interested in religion and religious diversity, including representatives of the Religious Life fellowship groups. RLC meets every other week over lunch to learn from each other about their religious beliefs and to explore issues of common concern.
Each year, RLC hosts a "Faith Week" that offers programs, performances, discussions, and fellowship events to the campus community. A recent "Faith Week" focused on spiritual health, in conjunction with a campus-wide focus on health issues. Other events bring students together for meals and mixers, where the focus is on meeting people of different faiths.
Every month Religious Life Council also hosts a lunch discussion on faith related topics intended to increase interfaith dialogue and awareness. Past discussions have been "Faith in Politics," "Interfaith Worship: Is It Possible?" and "Fasting, Feasting and Faith."
Allegheny College has hosted staff from the Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC), and students have attended IFYC conferences as a way to connect with the larger interfaith student movement.
All students are welcome to attend any RLC meetings, lunch discussions, and events.
