Internal Communications

The Office of Public Affairs produces several e-mail and online publications to help the campus community keep up to date with the latest news and to stay connected.

Inside News, found at http://inside.allegheny.edu/, is updated each working day to reflect events and general campus information. To submit an item to Inside News, go to http://inside.allegheny.edu/submit.php. Inside News is intended as an on-campus publication and is not generally open to viewing outside campus, but if you are a member of the campus community and would like access to Inside News while off campus, e-mail kathy.roos@allegheny.edu.

Broadcast e-mails can be sent to the entire campus community or to selected segments of it (e.g., students). We try to limit broadcast e-mails to general campus news that because of its nature cannot be listed in Inside News (such as information that must be disseminated quickly). We rarely send out broadcast e-mails about events. To request a broadcast e-mail, contact Kathy Roos or Josh Tysiachney at x6755 or send an e-mail to broadcast@allegheny.edu.

We publish People & Places monthly during the academic year. People & Places, which is e-mailed to the campus community, chronicles the academic achievements of our faculty, staff, and students. News can be submitted to people@allegheny.edu. An archive of People & Places can be found at allegheny.edu/news.

At Garage Sale, http://inside.allegheny.edu/garagesale/index.php, members of the campus community can advertise items for sale, list items they are interested in buying, publicize off-campus fund-raisers, and post items that have been lost or found. We have advertised everything from axolotls for sale to a request for someone to teach '60s dance moves. To submit an item to Garage Sale, visit the Garage Sale site and click on the Submit an Item tab. Please note that Garage Sale can be viewed only from on campus, and you must be a member of the campus community to post to the site.
