The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at Allegheny College seeks applicants for a one semester position in Spanish beginning in January 2010. We are looking for a specialist in modern and contemporary Spanish culture and literature. The ideal candidate is a recent ABD in Spanish, or a recent Ph. D with a native or near-native fluency in Spanish, and interested in gaining teaching experience in a private and highly selective liberal arts college. H/she is expected to teach three courses (conversation, Hispanic cinema, and a self-designed course dealing with the dissertation topic of the selected candidate).
