As part of ACCEL, the Health Professions Office will offer shadowing internships as part of the Spring 2007 EL Term. These opportunities will be available in various areas of the health care field in Meadville, Pittsburgh, Erie, Franklin, Cleveland, and Buffalo. This program is geared to students who are just beginning their exploration of a health care career. Shadowing will take place between May 14 and June 1, and will entail 60 hours with the sponsoring health care professional. Participants are expected to attend a brief orientation session in April. At the conclusion of the program, both students and sponsors will be asked to complete a program evaluation. Participants may also be asked to share their experiences as part of ACCEL programs during the 2007-08 academic year.

Application Procedure
Interested students must interview with Ms Peterson or Mr Fitch. Interviews will take about 15-20 minutes. Students should bring an unofficial transcript, a list of activities, and a brief statement of interest to the interview.
