Rockies EL Seminar 2010

Natural Resource Controversies & Compromises

Description:
A field-based examination of the complexity in balancing publicly owned lands with the needs of local people to meet economic & resource needs. This course will examine the historical, cultural, and ecological framework of the Rocky Mountain region, environmental threats to resource protection and will probe challenges in sustainable resource management. Most of the trip will be based in Estes Park, CO; travel to Wyoming and South Dakota will illuminate the diversity of resource and regional issues.

Pre-Requisites: None necessary

Return to the US: June 3, 2010

Costs:
$ 3950.00
Includes tuition, room, meals, airfare, local transportation and excursions required by program, insurance, and books.

An additional $100.00 is recommended for personal expenses (snacks, souvenirs).
